Whispers of milk

Modelling this sculpture brought back many fond memories and intimate moments I spent with my three children.

I particularly enjoyed the night feeding while everything else in the house slept. The light was dim and I was alone with my soft, perfumed baby in my arms and only the intermittent sound of his sucking could be heard.

The sculpture was modeled with a pinkish-toned clay without the application of ceramic enamels.

The mother's face is as small as a hazelnut and modelled by hand. The curls are applied one by one and are made of delicate clay strips rolled on themselves.

The sculpture is hollow.

The sculpture underwent one firing .
