Technical notes: modelled in semi-refractory red clay with fine chamotte 0.02. Decorated only with engobes, it faced a single firing at 980°.

‘The Inner Fortress’ represents for me the balance between strength and lightness. A female figure, relaxed and absorbed in reading, looking upwards, symbolises the search for inner freedom. Hair entwined with leaves embraces the tower-shaped backrest, a safe haven where one can dream and let one's thoughts fly.

Mi sono innamorata a prima vista di questaopera di Alice. Mi hanno colpito la sua delicatezza, la bellezza delle forme , i particolari studiatissimi e i suoi molti significati.
